Last night marked an exciting milestone – applications for the 2026 Summer Shindig officially closed, and what a response we had! This year we received an incredible 140 song submissions from 21 singers, showing once again just how much talent, creativity, and enthusiasm lives within the Shindig community.
Now the real challenge begins: shaping those submissions into the final set list.
Over the next few weeks, our team will be diving into every song with care. The selection process is a collaborative mix of band-member voting, production-team discussions, and the occasional instinctive gut call when something just feels like a Shindig moment waiting to happen. It’s one of the most enjoyable – and most difficult – parts of preparing for the event, and we can’t wait to craft a show that showcases the best of what everyone has to offer.
A huge thank you to everyone who applied, took the time to consider and submit songs, or encouraged others to get involved. The passion and effort shines through in every entry.
